Intro

Hi! My name is Chiang Leng. I'm double majoring in Linguistics and Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin. I'm also participating in the Digital Arts & Media Bridging Disciplines Program, which allows me to take upper-division classes outside of my major. This semester will be my last (hopefully!). I'm hoping to get into A&M's VizLab program next fall so I will be going through the application process this semester. I'm very interested in special effects and computer graphics in movies and tv, and that's what I hope to do in my career.

I will post some of my previous work in this blog but for now, here is a link to a portfolio site that I created as an assignment from my summer job training session in 2008. 

On a more personal note, I like learning languages, traveling, watching tv shows, and cats. I'm taking Japanese (which is my minor) and Swedish (just for fun) this semester. I went to France this summer for a couple of weeks, and now I sort of want to live in Paris. (By 'sort of', I mean 'really really really'...)
